TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the purchase, booking and use of services provided by Cold Barrels Ltd (“Cold Barrels”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By purchasing a Membership, making a booking or using our facilities, you agree to these Terms.
Participants must also comply with our Health & Safety Waiver and applicable safety and facility rules.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information.
Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
1. Our Services
Cold Barrels provides sauna, cold-water immersion and associated wellness and recreational facilities.
A “Session” means a participant’s place in a scheduled Cold Barrels Ice Bath & Sauna session.
Sessions are normally shared with other participants up to the applicable capacity. A booking does not provide private or exclusive use of the facilities unless expressly stated otherwise.
Our services are provided for general wellness and recreational purposes only.
Cold Barrels does not provide medical treatment, diagnosis, medical advice or an assessment of whether a participant is medically fit to participate.
You are responsible for deciding whether participation is suitable for you.
If you have a medical condition or underlying health concern, are pregnant, take medication, have recently undergone surgery or treatment, or otherwise have concerns about whether sauna use, cold-water immersion or rapid changes in temperature are suitable for you, you should seek appropriate advice from a qualified medical professional before participating.
You are not required to disclose medical conditions, medication, pregnancy or other medical information to Cold Barrels as part of our standard booking, Health & Safety Waiver or Under-18 Consent process.
2. Age Requirements
Participants must be aged 16 or over.
Participants under 16 are not permitted to use the Ice Bath & Sauna facilities.
Participants aged 16–17:
-
must have a parent or legal guardian complete the applicable Under-18 Parent / Legal Guardian Consent before participation; and
-
must be accompanied throughout their visit by a responsible adult aged 18 or over.
The accompanying responsible adult does not need to be the participant’s parent or legal guardian, provided the required parent or legal guardian consent has been completed.
Cold Barrels may require reasonable evidence of age, identity or consent before permitting participation.
Where applicable age, consent or supervision requirements are not satisfied, Cold Barrels may refuse participation.
3. Health & Safety Waiver
Every participant must read and accept the Cold Barrels Health & Safety Waiver before using the facilities.
An adult participant cannot accept the Health & Safety Waiver on behalf of another adult participant.
Where a booking is made for another participant, that participant must still complete their own Health & Safety Waiver before participation.
Participants aged 16–17 must also satisfy the separate parent or legal guardian consent requirements set out in Section 2.
The person arranging a permitted booking for another participant is responsible for ensuring that the participant receives the relevant booking and safety information.
Cold Barrels may refuse participation where a required Health & Safety Waiver or Under-18 Consent has not been completed.
4. Bookings and Payment Options
A Session may be booked:
-
as a One-off Booking; or
-
using an eligible Membership.
A “One-off Booking” means a Session purchased separately for a specific scheduled date and time.
A “Membership” provides a specified number of Sessions during each monthly membership period, subject to the applicable Membership rules contained in these Terms.
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
A booking relates to the participant, date, time and service shown in the booking confirmation.
You are responsible for checking that the information you provide and the resulting booking confirmation are correct.
Where booking for another person is permitted, the correct participant details must be provided where requested.
A booking is not confirmed until the applicable booking and payment process has been successfully completed and confirmation has been issued.
Purchasing a Membership does not guarantee availability for any particular date or time.
The price payable is the price displayed and confirmed at the time of purchase.
Payment must be made using a payment method made available through our website or booking system.
Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider.
Cold Barrels may correct an obvious pricing or technical error. Where an error affects an existing purchase, we will not require you to pay a higher price without your agreement and will provide any remedy required by law.
5. Memberships
Cold Barrels currently offers the following Memberships.
Monthly 4
Includes 4 Ice Bath & Sauna Sessions during each monthly membership period.
Sessions may be booked at any available eligible time, subject to availability.
Monthly 8
Includes 8 Ice Bath & Sauna Sessions during each monthly membership period.
Sessions may be booked at any available eligible time, subject to availability.
Off-Peak Monthly 4
Includes 4 Ice Bath & Sauna Sessions during each monthly membership period.
This Membership may only be used for Sessions starting Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 13:00 inclusive, subject to availability.
Off-Peak Monthly 8
Includes 8 Ice Bath & Sauna Sessions during each monthly membership period.
This Membership may only be used for Sessions starting Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 13:00 inclusive, subject to availability.
6. Membership Start, Personal Use and Monthly Periods
All Memberships start immediately after purchase.
The first monthly membership period begins on the date of purchase. Each subsequent membership period begins when the Membership renews.
All Memberships are personal and non-transferable.
Membership Sessions may only be booked and used by the Member to whom the Membership belongs.
Each Membership booking is for one participant only — the Member.
Membership Sessions cannot be transferred, shared or used to book for another participant.
Unused Sessions expire at the end of the applicable monthly membership period and do not roll over into the next membership period.
Membership Sessions have no separate cash value and cannot be individually exchanged for cash.
7. Automatic Membership Renewal
Memberships renew automatically each month until cancelled.
By purchasing a recurring Membership, you authorise Cold Barrels and the applicable payment provider to collect the recurring Membership payment disclosed at the time of purchase on each applicable renewal date.
Each successful renewal starts a new monthly membership period and provides the applicable number of Sessions for that period.
8. Cancelling a Membership
8.1 Cancelling Future Membership Renewal
To prevent your next scheduled Membership renewal, your cancellation request must be received by Cold Barrels at least 7 days before your next renewal date.
Cancellation requests must be sent to:
The request should include sufficient information for us to identify the relevant account and Membership, including:
-
the full name on the account;
-
the email address associated with the account; and
-
the Membership you wish to cancel.
Your request may simply state:
“Please cancel future renewal of my Membership at the earliest renewal date permitted under these Terms.”
If we cannot reasonably identify the relevant account or Membership from the information provided, we may ask for additional information before processing the request.
Requests received at least 7 days before the next renewal date will take effect at the end of the current paid membership period.
Requests received less than 7 days before the next renewal date will normally take effect at the end of the following membership period, unless Cold Barrels confirms otherwise.
Cancelling future renewal does not end an already paid membership period early.
Your Membership and any remaining eligible Sessions remain available until the end of the applicable paid membership period.
Payments for an already commenced membership period are non-refundable except where required by law.
This 7-day renewal cancellation rule does not restrict any statutory cancellation right that applies by law.
8.2 Statutory Cancellation Rights
Where applicable consumer law gives you a statutory right to cancel the online or distance purchase of a Membership, that right remains unaffected by these Terms.
Where such a right applies, the statutory cancellation period will normally expire 14 days after the day on which the Membership contract is entered into.
As part of the Membership purchase process, you expressly request that your Membership starts immediately after purchase.
Where services have already been supplied after your Membership has started and you subsequently exercise an applicable statutory cancellation right, Cold Barrels may charge a proportionate amount for services already supplied to the extent permitted by law.
To exercise an applicable statutory cancellation right, you must inform Cold Barrels of your decision to cancel by a clear statement.

Any refund legally due will be processed in accordance with applicable law.
Model Cancellation Form
You may use this form to exercise an applicable statutory cancellation right in relation to the initial purchase of a Membership.
You are not required to use this form. A clear statement sent to Cold Barrels is sufficient.

9. Rescheduling a Session
Bookings cannot be cancelled by the customer.
A booked Session may be rescheduled through your Cold Barrels customer account up to 3 hours before the scheduled Session start time, subject to availability and any applicable Membership booking restrictions.
One-off Bookings
A One-off Booking may be rescheduled within the permitted period, subject to availability.
Rescheduling does not create a right to a cash refund.
Membership Bookings
Where a Membership booking is rescheduled within the permitted period, the Session remains available for another eligible booking during the same membership period.
Rescheduling does not extend the membership period.
A booking made using an Off-Peak Membership may only be rescheduled to another eligible booking within the applicable Off-Peak times.
10. Missed Sessions and No-Shows
Rescheduling is not available less than 3 hours before the scheduled Session start time.
If you do not attend a booked Session that has not been rescheduled within the permitted period, the Session will be treated as used and forfeited.
No refund or replacement Session will normally be provided.
11. Late Arrival
You should arrive with sufficient time to check in and prepare for your Session.
Late arrival does not extend the scheduled Session time.
Where reasonably possible, you may be permitted to join the remaining part of the Session.
Cold Barrels may refuse late entry where:
-
participation is no longer reasonably practical;
-
late entry would materially disrupt the Session or other participants; or
-
allowing participation would create a health or safety concern.
Where a Session cannot reasonably be used because of your late arrival, it may be treated as missed and forfeited.
No refund or replacement Session will normally be provided in those circumstances.
12. Refunds
Except where required by law or expressly agreed by Cold Barrels:
-
One-off Booking payments are non-refundable;
-
payments for an already commenced Membership period are non-refundable;
-
unused or expired Membership Sessions are non-refundable; and
-
missed or forfeited Sessions are non-refundable.
Nothing in this section excludes or restricts any statutory right to a refund or other remedy.
13. Cancellation or Rescheduling by Cold Barrels
Cold Barrels may cancel, suspend or reschedule a Session where reasonably necessary because of circumstances including:
-
health or safety concerns;
-
equipment or facility failure;
-
staff unavailability;
-
utility failure;
-
emergency circumstances;
-
events beyond our reasonable control; or
-
other circumstances preventing us from safely or reasonably providing the booked Session.
Where Cold Barrels cancels a Session and the participant is not responsible for the cancellation:
For a One-off Booking, we will normally offer an alternative eligible Session.
Where an alternative Session cannot reasonably be provided or would not provide an appropriate remedy, any refund or other remedy required by law remains available.
For a Membership booking, the affected Session will normally remain available or be restored to the Membership.
Where reasonably necessary, Cold Barrels may extend the relevant membership period so that a restored Session can be used.
Where restoration or extension would not provide an appropriate remedy, any remedy required by law remains available.
14. Health, Safety and Suitability to Participate
Sauna use, cold-water immersion and movement between hot and cold environments involve inherent risks.
All participants must read and comply with the Health & Safety Waiver, displayed safety information and reasonable instructions given by Cold Barrels staff.
You must not participate if you feel unwell or believe participation may be unsafe for you.
You are responsible for monitoring how you feel throughout your visit.
You must stop participating and inform a member of staff if you experience concerning symptoms or discomfort.
Cold Barrels may restrict or stop participation where staff reasonably believe continued participation presents a health or safety risk.
15. Alcohol, Drugs and Conduct
You must not use the facilities while intoxicated or while your judgement, coordination or ability to participate safely is impaired by alcohol, recreational drugs or another substance.
Alcohol, smoking and vaping are not permitted within Cold Barrels facilities.
Appropriate swimwear must be worn.
Nudity is not permitted.
Participants must:
-
behave respectfully towards staff and other participants;
-
follow reasonable health, safety and operational instructions;
-
use equipment and facilities only for their intended purpose;
-
not behave violently, abusively, threateningly or dangerously;
-
not deliberately damage or interfere with equipment or property; and
-
not unreasonably interfere with another participant’s use of the facilities.
16. Refusal of Admission and Termination of Participation
Cold Barrels may refuse admission, restrict access to a facility or terminate a participant’s Session where we reasonably believe this is necessary for health, safety, security or conduct reasons.
This may include where a participant:
-
appears intoxicated or impaired;
-
appears unwell;
-
does not satisfy applicable age, consent or supervision requirements;
-
has not completed a required Health & Safety Waiver or Under-18 Consent;
-
fails to follow reasonable safety instructions;
-
behaves dangerously, abusively or disruptively;
-
misuses equipment or facilities; or
-
presents a material risk to themselves or others.
Where participation is refused or terminated because of the participant’s own conduct or failure to comply with applicable requirements, the Session will normally be treated as used and forfeited.
No refund or replacement Session will normally be provided.
Nothing in this section affects any statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
17. Damage to Property
Participants must take reasonable care when using Cold Barrels equipment, facilities and property.
You may be responsible for the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing property that you deliberately damage or damage through misuse or failure to exercise reasonable care, to the extent permitted by law.
Normal wear and tear is excluded.
18. Personal Belongings
You are responsible for personal belongings brought onto the premises.
You should avoid bringing unnecessary valuables.
Cold Barrels will not be responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings where the loss or damage was not caused by a breach of duty for which Cold Barrels is legally responsible.
Nothing in this section excludes or restricts liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
19. Our Responsibility to You
Cold Barrels will provide its services with reasonable care and skill and will take reasonable steps to provide and maintain a safe environment and manage foreseeable risks associated with the operation of its facilities.
Participation nevertheless involves inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated even where reasonable precautions are taken.
To the extent permitted by law, Cold Barrels will not be responsible for injury, loss or damage resulting from:
-
risks inherent in the proper use of the facilities;
-
a participant failing to follow reasonable safety instructions;
-
misuse of facilities or equipment;
-
a participant choosing to participate when they feel unwell or believe participation may be unsafe;
-
a participant continuing after experiencing symptoms or discomfort that should reasonably cause them to stop;
-
deliberate or negligent acts of the participant; or
-
acts or omissions of another participant where Cold Barrels is not legally responsible for them.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts Cold Barrels’ liability for:
-
death or personal injury caused by its negligence;
-
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
-
liability arising from breach of statutory duty where that liability cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted; or
-
any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
20. Availability of Facilities
Individual facilities or features may occasionally be unavailable because of:
-
maintenance;
-
cleaning;
-
repair;
-
equipment failure;
-
health or safety requirements; or
-
circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Temporary unavailability of a non-material facility, feature or piece of equipment does not automatically entitle a participant to a refund where the main contracted service can still reasonably be provided.
Where a material part of the contracted service cannot be provided, any applicable statutory right to a refund or other remedy remains unaffected.
21. Facility Rules
Cold Barrels may introduce or update reasonable operational, hygiene and safety rules where appropriate.
These may include requirements relating to:
-
safe use of equipment;
-
hygiene;
-
clothing and swimwear;
-
food and drink;
-
photography and recording;
-
mobile devices;
-
behaviour;
-
emergency procedures; and
-
use of particular areas of the premises.
Participants must comply with applicable facility rules and reasonable staff instructions.
Cold Barrels will not use facility rules to retrospectively remove or materially reduce contractual or statutory rights relating to an existing purchase.
22. Photography and Recording
You must respect the privacy of other participants.
Photography or recording must not capture another participant in circumstances where they could reasonably expect privacy or otherwise unreasonably interfere with other participants.
Cold Barrels may prohibit photography or recording in particular areas or circumstances.
Commercial photography, filming or recording requires prior permission from Cold Barrels.
23. Website and Booking Systems
We take reasonable steps to keep our website and booking systems available and accurate but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Website or booking-system access may occasionally be suspended because of maintenance, technical problems or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in this section affects contractual rights relating to a purchase or booking that has already been confirmed.
24. Booking and Service Notices
Cold Barrels may display short booking, service, safety or operational notices through its website, booking system or premises.
These notices may summarise important parts of these Terms for convenience and to make relevant information easier to understand at the point at which it matters.
Such notices do not replace these Terms or remove any statutory consumer rights.
25. Personal Data and Privacy
Cold Barrels processes personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, how it may be shared or retained and the rights available to individuals.
26. Communications
We may contact you using the contact information provided to us where reasonably necessary to:
-
confirm or manage a booking;
-
send booking reminders;
-
communicate changes or cancellations;
-
administer a Membership;
-
deal with payments or renewal;
-
respond to Membership cancellation requests;
-
provide information relevant to your visit;
-
communicate important operational or safety information; or
-
deal with customer-service matters.
These service-related communications are separate from optional marketing communications.
Marketing communications will be handled in accordance with your preferences and our Privacy Policy.
27. Changes to Prices, Memberships and Services
Cold Barrels may change prices for future purchases and future Membership periods.
A price change will not retrospectively increase the price of a purchase that has already been completed or a current paid membership period.
We may make reasonable changes to our services where necessary for operational, legal, health or safety reasons.
Where a material change affects a recurring Membership, Cold Barrels will provide any information, notice or remedy required by applicable law.
28. Events Beyond Our Reasonable Control
Cold Barrels will not be responsible for delay, interruption or failure to provide a service where caused by circumstances genuinely beyond our reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include serious utility failure, fire, flooding, extreme weather, emergency closure, government action or another event that makes provision of the service unsafe, unlawful or reasonably impossible.
This section does not remove any statutory right to a refund, cancellation or other remedy that applies where the contracted service cannot be provided.
29. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time where reasonably necessary to:
-
comply with changes in law or regulation;
-
address health or safety requirements;
-
reflect changes to our services or systems;
-
clarify existing provisions; or
-
make changes that do not materially disadvantage customers.
The latest version will be published on our website with its effective date.
Changes will normally apply to future purchases or future Membership periods.
We will not use changes to these Terms to retrospectively remove statutory rights or materially reduce contractual rights already acquired under an existing purchase where doing so would be unlawful or unfair.
30. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, intellectual property rights in Cold Barrels branding, logos, website content, graphics, photographs, written materials and other original content belong to Cold Barrels or are used under licence or with permission.
Our website and content may be used for personal and non-commercial purposes.
Protected content must not be reproduced, distributed, modified or commercially exploited without permission except where permitted by law.
31. Complaints and Contact
If you have a problem with a booking, Membership or service, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter.

32. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as modified or removed only to the extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
33. No Waiver
If Cold Barrels does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we have permanently waived the right to enforce that provision.
34. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Nothing in this section deprives a consumer of any mandatory legal protection available to them under applicable law.
By purchasing a Membership, making a booking or using Cold Barrels facilities, you acknowledge that you are entering into a contract with Cold Barrels subject to these Terms.
